St Barts Music Festival
I’m thrilled to be playing once again at this year’s annual St Barts Music Festival. Many thanks to festival organizers Jill and Frances Debroff for making this happen. I first played this festival in 2000 with Jason Marsalis’ band, and have been performing there nearly every year since. This year we’ll be debuting a new piece I wrote, a commission by the festival which features Jason Marsalis on vibes. Joining Jason and me will be Aaron Goldberg on piano and Reuben Rogers on bass. We play this Sunday in Gustavia. Check out all my other upcoming shows, as well!

Music for a good cause, “Home”, my singing debut on record
Friends, it’s not too late to buy a copy of “Home: Gift of Music”. All proceeds benefit Japan for Tsunami and Earthquake relief. I gave copies to my relatives this year for the holidays. The CD features a bunch of amazing singers and songwriters, and I’m singing a song I wrote especially for the project, as well. Many thanks to Rio Saikari for putting this all together and for asking me to be a part of it.

APAP, Winter Jazz, Otis Brown, and the Doctor
Hey everyone. I’m playing with Dr Lonnie on Saturday and Sunday at the Jazz Standard. For those who haven’t heard him, you gotta check in. He’s truly one of a kind. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30. I’ll also be playing with my old friend Otis Brown (wanna see how old? looks at the picture) at Sullivan Hall on Saturday night at 11:30pm as a part of Winter Jazz Fest in partnership with Revive Da Live.
